And so January’s Over and Here’s February

And just like that January’s over and we’re on the first day of February.

A lot’s happened in the past week. …er month.

My son turned 5.

I’ve also been on a health journey.

And I set out with a goal this year: write for all the blogs I own at least once a week. So yeah… I managed to do that. Whew. One goal down. On to the next one.

All 6 blogs with one entry at least per week on av erage.

Cool.

January was… busy.

JECTRA – The Health Journey Blog

Over at JECTRA, I went all-in on the health stuff. Started the year with “My 2026 Weight Loss Plan: Slow and Steady is the Key” on January 1st. Currently sitting at 210 lbs at 5’9″ to 5’10” which yeah… not great.

But I’m taking it slow this time.

No crash diets or impossible goals.

Then I wrote about eggs. “Is Having an Egg a Day Healthy?” Because I’ve been eating eggs daily and wanted to know if I was doing something right for once.

Wrote a piece congratulating the new pharmacist licensure exam passers – “Congratulations to the New Passers of the Pharmacist’s Licensure Exam of the Philippines 2025” on January 20th.

And just last week, January 27th, I tackled “The Importance of Sleep.” For the longest time I treated sleep as optional.

Something I could “catch up on.”

Yeah… that didn’t work out well.

Musika Wabad – The Music Blog

Musika Wabad got some love too. Started with “A New Year’s Resolution for Musika Wabad” on January 1st, thanking everyone who visited and shared our stuff.

January 4th I wrote about “The LiveROOM Presents Manigong Bandang Taon (Kick-Off Gig)” – man that was fun because there’s something special about kick-off gigs.

Then January 11th was all about “Tamad si Juan – Heading for the Red Horse Muziklaban Finals!” I’ve got my money on them winning this year! Those are incredible musicians.

And last but not the least: “Musikahan sa Tagum 2026“

HayopETC

I had 5 posts for HayopETC which is a good start since I’m really planning on being serious about this blog this year.

  • January 1: New Year’s Resolution
  • January 8: Top 10 Egg-Laying Chickens
  • January 15: Australorps
  • January 22: Why Do Cats Sleep so Much?
  • January 29: Capybara: The Calmest Animal

Biyernes

  • January 1: New Year’s Resolution
  • January 9: 4-Egg Skillet
  • January 16: Disappearance of Pampers
  • January 23: Egg Steamer
  • January 30: Maono Wave T1 Mini

Other Personal Goals and Achievements

For music, I’ve managed to set aside one hour at least per day to practive with a goal in mind. I’ve recorded my progress but my severe stage fright isn’t allowing me to post it. Yet…

I bought the Maono Wave T1 mono lavalier mic which is a great product! I was able to make some nice voice over audio for videos I took. Check em out here.

My AcidRadius Spotify page exists but yeah… stage fright’s still winning that battle.

But Here’s the Most Important Thing

The most important thing I’m setting out to do this month is something I should’ve done months… no… years ago…

I’m going to go win my wife back.

Things haven’t really been that good between us over the past few years but…

Having discussed our situation at length with myself and thinking things over countless times… I’ve realized that I still do love my wife. And I don’t see myself with anyone else after her. So…

This month’ll be perfect since it revolves around love plus we’re supposed to have our 6th wedding anniversary in a few weeks.

How I’m going to do this, I don’t know.

It’s an insurmountable task that seems impossible.

But hey, I’ve never been one to give up on impossible.

And if I fail, well… at least I can say that I tried.

Even though it’s probably too late.

Or maybe not.

Why?

Because I said if and when I get married, I’ll marry til death parts us.

Plus there’s a lot at stake especially with a child between us.

So yeah… 23 blog posts in one month while trying to lose weight, practice music daily, raise a 5-year-old, and figure out how to save my marriage.

January 2026 was… a month.

But I did it.

One week at a time.

Sometimes one day at a time.

On to February.

Let’s go.
