That Gig was C-R-A-Z-Z-Z-Y-Y-Y!
I arrived 30 minutes before the band arrived so I took a look around and saw all of her fans as they started to converge towards the stage. All of the Glaiza fans clubs were there and there were a LOT!
The show went without a hitch even though Glaiza performed without Abe and had Reli De Vera as the drummer instead. Reli brought a different sort of dynamic for the band as the fans were treated to a total rock-out jam session! Don’t worry though, Abe will be back to man the drums tomorrow at Bulacan.
The band went through their set opening with the song Waiting Shed and then continuing the musical journey to Country Tree. It was when the band played Dusk ‘til Dawn that you could see just how much the crowd loved not just Glaiza as an actress but also the music the band provided as evidenced by the fans knowing every word of the song! With Reli providing the beats, Dusk ’til Dawn transformed into a veritable rocker. The band ended their set with Barcelona and this was when the band went into full overdrive with everyone moving onstage. The “calmer” members of the band couldn’t help but move along to the beat. It was hypnotic. It was infectious. It was truly captivating. Jean Paul and IQ probably forgot that they were in a pop rock band because they were totally putting on the rock moves onstage. Even Glaiza managed to bang her head during the song’s instrumental segment. Offstage, the crowd was moving like one huge organism pulsating to the groove that Vic and Reli efficiently provided. If that performance doesn’t convince you that this is a real band then I don’t know what will.
The show started getting crazier towards the end of the gig after the band exited and the autograph signing started onstage. The host was quite entertaining while Glaiza signed each and every copy of the CDs bought by fans onstage. You could say that that segment of the show was very much a part of the gig!
From what I heard, 400 CDs were sold in just under an hour! Amazing!
…. And ….
Although Glaiza wanted to sign more CDs as a show of appreciation to her fans, the mall security had to pull her out because the crowd was getting a bit unruly.
I heard a few grumblings in the crowd complaining that they bought the CDs but they didn’t get to have her signature on it. You guys should understand though that Glaiza is not a machine. She gets tired too. Furthermore, she just finished a gig. Her hands were obviously tired but she gamely acceded to what you guys wanted. Take it as a positive thing guys, at least you have her CD and you’ll get to see your “Idol” and “Lablab” in the future and probably get the chance to let her sign it.
So that this doesn’t happen in the future, here are some tips that you might want to follow 😀
Future tips to Glaiza fans:
1. Fall in line properly so everyone gets a fair chance to get their CDs signed. Glaiza knows you want to meet her in person but you’ll also have to have a little bit of discipline. Don’t crowd, fall in line.
2. Say what you want to say as quickly as you can because others are also waiting in line. Even if the only things that’ll come out of your mouth are “Thank you for the music, Glaiza.” Or “We love you Glaiza!” she will know how you feel and she does feel the love coming from you.
3. If you really have something lengthy to say to her, send her an email or a message through FB. She does read those messages and you’ll be able to say what you want to say as eloquently as you can 😀 . This is also a sure way to get a personalized response from her. 4. If you really must have your picture taken with her, try to get your phone ready so that you can take your pose beside her, behind her, whatever you want and click the camera button. Oh, and don’t forget to give your best smile!
5. If you have gifts for her, and she does appreciate gifts, include a note thanking her for the music and other things like making the world a brighter place and hand it to the assistants. If you must have your picture taken with her, refer to Tip Number 4.
And before I end this, the best way to enjoy a concert is by watching the show with your own two eyes and really taking the music in instead of holding out your hand and viewing the gig through your mobile device. Remember that this is another side of Glaiza and she wants to rock your world, she’s there as a musician and not as an actress. Keep your phones in your pockets and enjoy the music!

The only thing i'm hoping for is to see you in person and we will know each other.. You are a very good person Glaiza inside and out.. I truly admire you.. Until now di pa ko nkakarecover about what happen yesterday. The best thing that they should do next time is before selling your cd's , dapat may pirma mo na para atleast kahit di makalapit sayou "worth it" pa din right? Un lang.. Suggestion ko po un.. What was announced was there will be a meeting about Canada, it was not about security. Maayos naman ang mga tao nakapila at nakaupo ang iba. It was mentioned, shouted again and again na tatapusin i-sign ang lahat. So the people waited and followed the instruction of the emcee. I met some of the fans. These are not only students, some are professional people. We were promised na isa-sign lahat. We deserved respect because we bought the cd. I could understand if Glaiza will leave for health reasons. But it was not what it said by the emcee. It's a meet and greet with the fans. 400 copies sold then, it is expected 400 cd's will be signed. Suggestion, why not limit Glaiza,s songs to just two? So she will have enough time to sign all the cd's sold. Or to make up for the hundreds more of cd's not signed, make a schedule for the fans whose cds were not signed, take photos, even without the show. I felt sad leaving the starmall, sadder to see the fans too disappointed about what happened, knowing these people came from far places.I'm still a fan of Glaiza, I just hope this won't happen again.
Since im one of those who came from a far.. this cd signing ate totally disdappointing halos hindi ko nasilayan si miss glaiza. Taz biglang announce cutoff npo sorry. Is this how they treat the fans??pagkatapos ma sold out ng album ibibitin sa ere.

Di naman siguro sa ganun yun guys, konting pasensya. On a lighter note, sold out din CDs sa San Jose del Monte kanina and jam packed ang place pero na sign-an lahat ng CDs. Naayos din kanina medyo onti nga lang nakapag take ng pic with glaiza.
