KADAYAWAN!!!

Kadayawan is right around the bend…

This is an annual festival that Davao City celebrates and boy, do they know how to celebrate!

I’ve been here for 4 years now and every time it’s Kadayawan, I somehow manage to miss it. Well, not anymore. I’ve decided to fully partake.

The festival usually lasts for about a week but it seems like Davaoenos know how to party like no other and that’s why it’ll probably last for a week. There’s definitely a festive tinge in the air and it seems like everyone is in a festive mood. People are smiling, stores are putting up huge bargains and sales, party places seem to be full.

It’s also a great time to start new businesses as is the case one of the newest gaming centers in Davao City. Watch out for it soon! Empire Gaming is coming to town!

It’s a perfect time to visit Davao because you’ll be able to see just how bountiful the harvests are and just how beautiful this place is. And that’s why I chose to stay in this wonderful city.

There are lots of activities you can find during the Kadayawan Festival. Trade fairs, bands, mall sales, religious gatherings, parades… whew! They got a lot of things going on and there seems to be no end to this. I believe this’ll stretch about 2 or 3 weeks after the official Kadayawan Festival is over.

And who do you have to thank for it? Well first of all that’d be the Man in charge, Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and of course the people of Davao City who continue to show the rest of the nation just how things can change for the better if everybody just learned to follow the rules and the law.
