“All Glitter, No Filler”

When my original Maya card expired, I had to order a new one.
And that’s when I saw the Maya Pink Glitter Edition Card.
Limited edition.
Sparkly.
Pink.
Fabulous.
I ordered it without hesitation.
According to Maya’s official site, the Pink Glitter Edition card costs ₱450 (with a ₱50 delivery fee to have it sent straight to your door).
It’s a physical Visa card, which means you can use it anywhere that accepts Visa, in the Philippines and abroad.
You can also have your Maya username printed on the card to personalize it.
How to Order and Activate Your Maya Pink Glitter Edition Card
According to the official Maya website (maya.ph/pinkglitter), here’s how you get one:

Okay so… full disclaimer. I am a man. A grown man and I am carrying a pink glitter card in my wallet.
And I have absolutely zero regrets about it.

I’ve been a Maya user since 2020… back when it was still PayMaya and before everything became what it is today. I remember thinking it was just a convenient way to pay for stuff online and avoid having to carry too much cash around Davao.
But it became so much more than that for me.
One of the most practical things I ever did with it?
I used Maya to give my workers bank accounts.
Instead of dragging everybody through the exhausting process of opening a traditional bank account (the requirements, the lines, the follow-ups…), I just helped each one sign up for their own Maya account and then ordered them cards.
Everyone had cellphones anyway.
Simple.
Done.
Financial access, just like that.
No bank visits needed.
That, to me, is what Maya is really about.
It’s financial inclusion made practical for regular Filipinos.
Look, there are other e-wallets out there. You know the ones. But I genuinely prefer Maya and here’s why…
- It works everywhere Visa is accepted (over 200+ countries, according to their site)
- You can earn up to 15% p.a. on Maya Savings when you use your card regularly
- No issues, ever. Not a single problem since I started using it in 2020
- It’s a real bank (Maya Bank, Inc.) regulated by the BSP, not just some app
- You can send money, pay bills, buy load, trade crypto, and more… all in one place
- The physical card is just satisfying to have and use. That is the best reason why. Maya’s biggest competitior doesn’t have it despite being more popular here in the Philippines.
It’s convenient and I haven’t had a single issue using it and that, above everything else, is what keeps me coming back.
